We’re proud to support Jammin’ for Joints, a premier charitable event in the Jackson area that will be held at Duling Hall in Fondren on Saturday, May 5, 2012. Money raised benefits the Arthritis Foundation of Mississippi in their quest to help people in our community and across the nation who suffer from arthritic joints.

Tickets can be purchased online through Friday, May 4th, and don’t forget to buy a raffle ticket for a chance to win a custom pastel or charcoal portrait by Kathryn Ogden Humphreys. You need not be present to win the raffle. Good luck!

Callie’s Mission has successfully sent students to countries such as Brazil, Peru, Kenya, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Honduras, Uganda and Guatemala.

The 3nd Annual “Callie’s Mission” CO2 Golf Classic will be held on Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Quail Hollow Golf Course at Percy Quinn State Park in Fernwood, Mississippi, to help fund future missionaries’ trips.

On December 3, 2011, the museum celebrates its first year of  providing a unique and exciting educational experience for the children of Mississippi.  The exciting exhibits  ignite and inspire a thirst for discovery, knowledge and learning!

In celebration of the museum’s first year, we are giving away free admission tickets!  All you have to do is write on our Facebook page telling us about a past experience you’ve had at the museum, or if you have never been before, let us know who you want to take!

Facebook fans will vote on their favorite name from November 18-28, and the entry with the most votes wins a Grand Prize Package from MCM!

1. Find the Louis LeFleur cutout next to the gift shop (right when you walk in, look in the right corner.)

2. Brainstorm a creative and fun name that would represent the MCM gift shop.

3. Write it on the dry erase board. Snap a photo of your child with the cutout!

4. Upload your photo to our Facebook tab called “Name Our Gift Shop!” at facebook.com/MississippiChildrensMuseum.

5. Fans will vote on their favorite name, and the photo with the most votes wins a Grand Prize Package!
